The Fellowship Room
St Matthew’s Church Hall is ideal for small events, celebrations and meetings. You can hire it for a single event, or for regular activities (including classes). It has an excellent kitchen with all the usual equipment for hosting up to forty people* for a meal. There is a range cooker, microwave, fridge (sorry, no freezer), pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. The room has plenty of tables and chairs. There is level access, disabled parking and toilet, plus baby-changing facilities.
Although it is not licensed for public entertainment or the sale of alcohol, that doesn’t affect your private event. Bring your own sound, video, and drink. The hall is curtained for films and illustrated talks. Regular activities need your own Public Liability Insurance and Safeguarding Plan.
We are near the A6/A38 junction, two miles north of Derby. The hall is boldly marked Fellowship Room, on the car park side of the church. Our postcode is DE22 1EY.
To enquire about the hall, and to make a booking, please contact the Church Administrator Caroline Audley on 01332 552031 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. The rates are very reasonable, with a special price for a child’s party
* The current Covid Social distancing rules mean that the maximum number of people in the room is
limited to 9. A document about the current rules is attached. We hope it won't be too long before
we can hire for larger numbers - please speak to Caroline for the latest information.

these days will return!
